About Us

Thachani comes from a forgotten family name, once spoken softly, now reclaimed with purpose.
It carries echoes of ancestry, memory, and stories that were never written down but lived, worn, and passed through generations.

Choosing Thachani as a brand name is an act of remembrance. It is about bringing forward what time tried to erase, slow ways of living, mindful making, and a deep respect for the earth. The name holds space for histories that did not make it into archives, yet shaped lives through hands, labour, and care.

At Thachani, we practice eco printing and natural dyeing, processes that cannot be rushed. Through these methods, we try to bring forward pigments and colours that we have forgotten to see in their original form, hues drawn directly from plants, leaves, fruits, and flowers. We create art using colours we have slowly stopped valuing, allowing them to move from nature, through our hands, and finally into your wardrobe. Every piece takes time, patience, and presence, and is created slowly in our own home studio, where each stage of making remains deeply personal.

In reviving this name, Thachani honours lineage over legacy, intention over inheritance. Our process is completely natural and chemical free, made with care for both the earth and the body, ensuring our garments remain gentle and safe on the skin. It reflects a belief that clothing, like names, can carry memory when created with time, honesty, and respect.

Thachani stands as a reminder that what was forgotten still has value, and what is made slowly can last.

Wear what the earth remembers.
